A jaded reporter is demoted to a rural news station, but her cynicism is slowly transformed when she befriends a recovering addict as she works a story about a church struggling to purchase a motel for homeless families. It is based on a true story.

The Samaritan Inn is an actual location and has been featured in eight different news stories by Orlando ABC Affiliate WFTV Channel 9 and is a real motel converted into use for homeless families that stays full every night of the year. First Baptist Leesburg has been featured in several documentaries including the 2018 documentary “Come Alive” and journalistic stories by M6, the largest television network in France, the 700 Club as well as Japan’s national network Nippon Television. Cecil Johnson was a real person who overcame incarceration for attempted murder and drug addiction to become one of the most loved members of First Baptist Leesburg. His funeral in March 2019 was also one of the largest ever the church.

There are several recognizable stars but the three with top billing are Sean Young (Blade Runner, Dune), Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, God’s Not Dead) and T.C. Stallings (Courageous, War Room).

The movie is not yet rated but we expect a PG or PG-13 rating. There is absolutely no language and no nudity in the film. There is a scene where a gang member hands a marijuana cigarette to another gang member before they beat up a black man. There is also a second bar scene where a man hits another man who gets a gun and returns to the bar to shoot the man who hit him. We estimate most older children (ages 10-12) and up would be fine with every scene in the movie.
